“I decided it is better to scream. Silence is the real crime against humanity.”There is much wisdom in that quote and screams can take on many forms. Some are deep and desperate and some just come about from exasperation. It is certainly okay to scream from exasperation, Daniel. I do that a lot these days.

Please hang in there. The arc of the moral universe is long but it bends toward justice. I believe in the inherent goodness of most people and that the forces of what is good and fair will ultimately triumph. Keep the faith. Sometimes hope is a radical act. Best, Ann Rhodes

I like what you have said here, both Daniel and Ann. I am reminded that hope is a choice we make, just as eventually we choose which group begging for our attention has our best interest at heart

Martin Luther King Jr. was a great orator and a man of deep faith. I want to believe what he said about the arc of the moral universe, but my gut tells me the line is flat and points directly toward chaos.
