I am so sorry this happened to you, Daniel. I am glad your principal was able to help you. To me that shows he has great respect for you and your work. Concentrate on that and keep on with your good work as a teacher of young children. Everything else will fall in place eventually.
Small people are out there looking to cause havoc because they have no life of their own. Once they get attention, plumps up egos. Hope your tech people can wipe this from FB. At least some help while you go to school every day teaching positive adult behavior. There is a child looking for that.
As for the financial damage, that's already done. I was cut off from some many of my former readers that my audience has dwindled from thousands to about 40 to 50. If I could have converted them to my Substack, I might have been able to stay ahead. So it goes.
Well, that's tricky. I probably did that. If it comes from plain ol' "Daniel P. Finney," that's me. If it comes from "Daniel P. Finney Paragraph Stacker," that's the stolen page.
Getting a page that is hacked removed should not be this difficult! A friend’s page was hacked and used to sell a car at a ridiculous low price. Facebook was contacted and a host of us did as well, calling out the fraud, and yet the page remained active. I closed my X account and am considering Facebook as well, 75% of it is trash, and you really have to be on your toes to avoid scams. I didn’t check out a source of a name brand sale item and made a $25 purchase. Turned out I made a donation to someone’s pocket and had to trash the card I used. Reporting it got nowhere. Yes, there is one born every minute!
The problem, I think, is there are so many scammers and so many liars and so many mean-spirited people trying to wreck things just for the sake of seeing the sandcastle fall down that I don’t know how any organization can sort real and earnest requests for help and complete horse apples.
