Great column, Daniel, one of your best. Sit wherever you want, kid. As long as you keep writing, you’ll be able to get away with doing that. It’s a lesson that Pete and a lot of the rest of us learned along the way.
Thank you, Daniel. Your tribute to Pete was very well done. Thanks for the memory of the peach colored sports section. That was the one section that my brothers always pulled out first; even before the comics! When the paper went online my husband would often ask me if I had read Randy Peterson's column yet! We always appreciated his perspective. I love it that his direction to sit wherever you want put you adjacent to his desk! Great memories, thank you.
A great tribute to a great journalist. Cyclone fans love him even when he's hard on our teams. That Big Peach . . . I still have some articles cut out in a scrap book somewhere from my high school sports and some ISU reports. Wonderful!
Thanks for this wonderful Randy Peterson tribute, Dan!
So many memories wrapped up in this article. Thanks

As always, you are spot on!
Great tribute!!! While I'm not a big-time sportster I would always read Peterson to get an honest assessment of those teams. And I miss the Big Peach!
