Totally agree with you Dan. Lucky to see the game and knew that foul would become "the" talking point. Media plays to the low denominator. There was much more to the game than that foul. Fever team work was "the" story.
Larry Bird and Magic Johnson like and respect each other, but they’ve competed fiercely for a decade. I just don’t like the idea that the only way we can cover women’s sports is if we turn it into a drama competition instead of actual sport competition.
I think it plays on gender and racial stereotypes to get people to rage click and share. I see where you’re coming from, but this seems creepier than Bird vs. Magic.
